

William Robert Daffin, 92, of Hemet, California passed away June 7, 2016 at his home. He was born September 29, 1923 in Cincinnati, Ohio to his parents William Henry Daffin and Lucille Agnes Sutkamp Daffin. Bill was a World War II veteran stationed in England, flying missions throughout Europe. Upon his return from the war, he married Helen Ann Siegel in 1951. Shortly after their wedding they moved to South Gate where Bill took a position working for Oscar Mayer. In 1964 Bill and his family moved to Hemet where he became the West Coast Division Manager for Skyline Mobile Homes. Bill remained with Skyline until his retirement in 1986.
Bill was an avid sports fan, his favorites being football, softball and horse racing. He played football during school as well as on club teams after graduating. His love of the game continued with his season tickets to the San Diego Chargers. Upon moving to California, Bill played on many different softball teams, picking up the game again after he retired. He also loved horse racing and closely followed the horses. In addition to sports, Bill was an active member of his community. He belonged to the Hemet Exchange Club, Hemet Elks, and Idyllwild VFW.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Helen, son Gregory, daughters Leslie Record (husband Mike) and Jenny Yeager (husband Terry), as well as six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
