"Watty", as he was affectionately known by friends and loved ones, was born on July 25, 1924 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
A WWII veteran whose service took him from the D-Day invasion through the Battle of Bulge and the crossing of the Saar river in the pivotal battle of the Siegfried Line Campaign, Watty elevated to the rank of an Army Staff Sargent.
He worked for Rockwell International as an engineer for over 30 years. Watty was an avid golfer and a passionate Cincinnati Reds fan.
A devoted Husband and Father, Watty was married to Melba Curry for 60 years. Melba passed in 2007. Watty is surveyed by his three sons Bill, Dave and Bruce, their wives, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren (with another on the way) and one great-great grandchild.
A reception and celebration of Watty's life will follow immediately after the services at Merna's Cafe and Grill at: 26850 Cherry Hills Blvd., Menifee, CA 92586 - (951) 301-8870. Food and refreshments will be severed.
