Born Sunday, February 7, 1926 in Red Oak, Iowa .He was the husband of Emma Robson, who he eloped with to the Aquarius Casino in Laughlin, Nevada at the age of 81.
Bill served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Following his service, he joined the Screens Actors Guild and spent much of his career entertaining. Bill and his first wife were the headliners of the Roby & Del "Flying Ballet," which was an acrobatic show that traveled around the world and performed with the likes of Bob Hope and Ed Sullivan.
Following his career as an actor, Bill worked as a contractor in Hemet.
Bill enjoyed fitness and was a member of Gold's Gym in Santa Monica for many years. He was also thrill-seeker, he skydived and would try anything that pushed his limits. He also enjoyed cycling and participating in triathlons.
Bill is preceded in death by his first wife Dolly.
Surviving are his wife, Emma Robson, sister, Dorothy Robson and nephews Tom and Billy Waters.
