Annmarie Brenda Ryan

Annmarie (Brenda) Ryan of Henderson, Nevada passed away November 21, 2013 after her battle with cancer at the age of 59. She was born in Maliseet, New Brunswick, Canada on July 11, 1954. She was married to Roy Ryan on September 9, 1972. During her life, she had the opportunity to work for the service and retail industry. While Roy was stationed at Edwards A.F.B. in California, she had the unique experience of working for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s cafeteria where she had the privilege to see our country’s Space Shuttle program when it all began. During the 27 years residing in Nevada, she worked in many great places making many friends along the way. She became a store manager for the city’s original Green Valley Grocery. Worked in the warehouse/delivery for a time and then became the store’s slot technician. She graduated from the Las Vegas Gaming & Technical School on August 23, 1990. From there went on to be head slot technician for many of the GVG stores. Also went on to work for Ligouri’s bar and casino as slot technician and bartender/waitress. She made a move into the home improvement world when she took a job with Coast to Coast hardware and letting everyone know that a woman knows what she talking about when it comes to nuts and bolts. Lowe’s made its way into town and she helped open the store in Henderson in 2003. Along with all work she was involved in, she always found a way to have some fun. She worked with SNORE (Southern Nevada Off-Road Enthusiasts) as a score keeper and checkpoint worker for numerous off road races where she knew getting dirty and dusty came with the territory but loved it and wouldn’t have traded it for the world. She always had a passion for her family, her friends and great country music. Left to carry on her memory are her loving husband Roy, her son Spencer, daughter Lori, and step daughter Claudia along with their 12 grandchildren, Justin Bowers, Matthew Bowers, Carolynn Bowers, Nathan Francis, Daniel Francis, Emily Francis, Erin Francis, Gerald Vigil, Julia Rodriquez, Roman Bragdon, Jessica Bragdon, Keenan Bragdon,1 great grandchild, Whitney Bowers and her 8 brothers and sisters, Clark Francis, Wilfred Francis, Kenneth Francis, Valerie Francis, Stella Francis, Cathy Francis, Pamela Francis, and Anna Francis. Funeral arrangements will be held at 2:00 pm, November 26, 2013 at Palm Mortuaries, 800 South Boulder Hwy, Henderson, NV 89015.
