

Betty Wagner Daley, age 94, died on May 6, 2014 in Henderson. She was born in Glenwood Springs, Colorado on April 17, 1920, and had been a resident of Nevada since 1945. Betty was a policewoman at the Henderson Police Department for 21 years, having served as secretary to four chiefs of police. She had been an active member of the Republican Women of Henderson for many years, and also served as secretary of the Henderson Boys and Girls Club. She was a long-time member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, where she was the organist for 18 years, and was also a member of St. Peter’s Altar Guild. Betty is survived by her husband, John Daley of Henderson, daughter Sue Forde, Sequim, WA; stepchildren Joseph Daley of Spokane, WA, MaryAnn Marshall and Patti Ann Kennedy of Las Vegas; brothers Ted Stell, Denver, CO and William Stell, Round Hill, VA, as well as ten grandchildren. A Visitation will be held at Palm Mortuary, 800 So Boulder Hwy, on May 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, on May 9, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with the committal to follow at Palm Mortuary, , 800 So Boulder Hwy, Memorial gifts to the Henderson Boys and Girls Club.
