Carol Ann Petrik

Carol Ann Petrik, age 71, of Henderson, Nevada passed away peacefully on March 9, 2022; surrounded by her husband Jerry and close friends after a 5-week battle with Covid pneumonia. She was born on December 8, 1950 in Akron, Ohio to Marion and John Muffley. Carol graduated from Akron University, and retired after 30 years of teaching Secretarial and Accounting Sciences.

Carol and Jerry, her husband of 38 years, moved to Henderson, Nevada in 2008 to retire and travel. She loved the National Parks and especially Mt. Rushmore. She dedicated herself to community service and was an avid supporter of the Children’s Miracle Network, Salvation Army, and an active member of the Kiwanis Club of the Las Vegas Strip.

As a Kiwanian, her dedication and hard work was rewarded with many honors including the Frank Carvella Award, the Marti Merek Service Award, the William H. Dunlap Fellowship and the Kiwanis Cal-Nev-Ha Tablet of Honor.

Carol loved to give without asking anything for herself. We will miss her generous nature, warm smile and giving heart.

Carol is survived by her husband Jerry, sister, Jean Muffley; brothers: Larry Muffley (Peggy) and Don Muffley (Karen); sisters-in-law: Nati Kopenhaver, Cheryl Parker; and many nieces and nephews.
