
Charles Elmer Williams, known as "Charles" to most, passed away Sept. 16, 2011, in Henderson, with his family by his side. Charles was born July 6, 1930, in Joplin, Mo., to James and Anna Williams. He joins his parents; brother, Jimmy Williams; sister, Eula Eagan; and wife, Wreatha June Williams, who are also with the Lord. Charles is survived by his family, residing mainly in Southern Nevada and Oklahoma. Surviving family include, daughters, Vicki Hartquist and Marilyn Allen; son, Ted Schutz; grandchildren, Nathan, D.J., Amber, Laura, Amy and Ryan; and his eight great-grandchildren, Brittany, May Lynn, Derek, Bailey, Belle, Daniel, Nodin and Brayden. A veteran of the U.S. Marines, long-haul trucker and mechanic, Chuck moved to Henderson 38 years ago and retired as a millright from Titanium Metals Corporation, "Timet." His hobbies included woodworking and home construction projects, especially to help family and friends. He was a loving and dedicated family man who enjoyed knowing all that was happening in the lives of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Chuck's love for family had no boundaries. He loved unconditionally and will be missed by those he leaves behind. Funeral and burial services will be at 1:20 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd. in Boulder City.
