Charlie Lucas, Jr.

Charlie "Wolf" Lucas Jr., age 81, of Las Vegas, Nevada, was called by Almighty God to eternal rest on Friday, July 30, 2021, with his best friend and his lovely daughter by his side. He was born on July 14, 1940 in Lake Providence, Louisiana to Charlie Lucas Sr. and Dorothy Lucas. Charlie attended Madison Elementary School and Las Vegas High School where he played baseball during segregation, traveled from state to state, until he hurt his leg.

Charlie started working for the test site shortly after high school. He worked at the site until the middle to late sixties, when he decided to pursue his passion in the automotive industry. His love of working on cars paved the opportunity for him to open several automotive shops until the mid 90's; and becoming the best mechanic in West Las Vegas.

Charlie "Wolf" retired in the 90's in order to take care of his family. He enjoyed watching westerns and baseball games on television. Charlie loved reflecting back on his life and telling stories to anyone willing to listen to how happy he was growing up.

Charlie "Wolf" Lucas, Jr. was kind, understanding, had a heart for helping others; and was the most non-judgmental man anyone could have ever known. He will truly be missed.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents: Charlie Sr. and Dorothy Lucas; wife, Bennie Ware-Lucas; the mother to his son, Sheila Brumfield; and four brothers: Mel, Roger "Sonnyboy", Amile "D.C.", David "BB". He leaves behind to cherish in his memory, his best friend, caregiver and daughter, Nicole (Keith) Bryant; son, Antonio (Christine) Brumfield; three sisters: Erma (Lee) Lucas-O'Neal, Phyllis (Sylvester) Smith, and Tracey (Lorenzo) Lucas; brother, Eddie "EJ" (Elner) Lucas; four grandchildren: Sade Brumfield, Precious "Trollbaby" Ware, Kimberly Ware, and Lorenzo Taylor; two great-grandchildren: Cam'ron Taylor and Lorenzo Taylor, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A visitation for Charlie will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 PM both at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. . Charlie will be laid to rest at Palm Henderson Cemetery, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
