

Darlene Ellen (Dolan) Baker, 87, a resident of Henderson, Nevada, since January 1988, passed away August 22, 2025, in Killeen, Texas. She was born June 6, 1938, the youngest of seven children to Bernard Dolan and Blanche (Nickerson) Dolan on a farm outside of Indianola, Nebraska.
The family moved to Indianola shortly after her birth to be closer to a doctor for her. She grew up in Indianola and attended school all twelve years in Indianola, graduating from high school with the class of 1956.
After graduation she moved with her sister to Phillipsburg, Kansas where she met her husband Harold Baker. They were married June 28, 1958, in Norton, Kansas. To this union were born three boys, Anthony Alan, Timothy Lee, and Terry Joseph.
Darlene was a stay-at-home mom but really enjoyed her league bowling until back surgery stopped that for her. She enjoyed reading and collecting stuffed bears, eventually acquiring over 550 different bears.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents: Bernard and Blanche Dolan; four brothers and two sisters; as well as her husband of 65 years, Harold Baker. She leaves to mourn her passing her sons: Anthony (Christine), Timothy (Betty) and Terry (Angel); two grandsons: Riley Baker (Kayla) and Kyle Baker (Leslee); one step-grandson, Damion Van Camp (Jamie); two step-great grandsons: Alexander Van Camp and Christian Van Camp; and many friends and relatives.
A visitation for Darlene will be held Monday, September 8, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will begin 11:00 AM, both at Palm Henderson Mortuary, 800 S Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Darlene will be laid to rest at Boulder City Municipal Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd, Boulder City, Nevada 89005.
