David Alan Delaria, Sr.

David Alan Delaria Sr., age 76, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. He was was born March 24, 1942 in Akron, Ohio to Helen Marie Delaria (Wilson) and Chester Louis Delaria. David graduated from Ellet High School in 1959, and served Honorably in the U.S. Navy.

On September 14, 1962; David married the love of his life, Betty Ruth Zinn, at a civil wedding in Norfolk, Virginia. Together the young couple resided in Virginia, Florida, and Arizona prior to settling down in Boulder City, Nevada in 1973.

David was ordained as a Pastor in 1973. In 1977, David began his life-long ministry as Pastor of Giving Life Ministries Church in Henderson, Nevada. He had a true passion for serving his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; leading his church and his family were his whole life. David was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather; whom loved fishing, golfing, collecting coins; and was a steward of his community; working with the Henderson Police Department as a chaplain.

Although we mourn the loss of a true man of God, we can rejoice in the fact that we will see David again in Heaven!

David was preceded in death by his father, Chester; mother, Helen; siblings, Oril, Donald, Dolores, Edward, and Walter. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty "Joie"; sons, David (Lucy) and

Jeff (Becky); siblings: Ralph, Dorothy, and Charles Delaria; grandchildren: Katie, Karis (David), Savannah , Jesse, Joshua, Hannah, Caleb, Danielle, Isabella, Francesco, and great grandson, Noah Maman.

A visitation for David will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral Services with military honors will occur on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, both at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. David will be laid to rest privately with his family at the Southern Nevada Veteran Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr, Boulder City, Nevada 89005
