Dillon John Robert Tyra, age 30, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away unexpectedly at his home on away on Friday, March 17, 2023. He was born on April 8, 1992 in Anaheim, California to Paula Janinie (Skoog) Rome and Daniel John Tyra Jr.. Dillon was raised in Tennessee, California, and Nevada. As a young boy, he started early as an avid reader. He was advanced for his age reading over 365 books in the first grade. In his high school years he read over 3,765 books in his senior year. He loved science and school; but in his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his childhood friends playing Dungeons and Dragons, Pokemon, Yugioh, and power rangers, specifically the green power ranger. Dillon graduated from Basic High School in 2011, achieving multiple honors in reading, handwriting, spelling citizenship, and changing the library for his school.
After high school, Dillon immediately went to work in Grocery. He held a few jobs in security, working with his father at United Nissan, before he starting working as a cable technician with Quality Communications. He truly found his home at the communications company making many friends with his whole crew. He worked very hard and was highly thought of by everyone.
Dillon shared two boys with the mother of his children, Robyn Jones. Though they never married, He was a very proud father who shared the parenting of his two boys, centered his life around them, and they always came first. He loved to travel and take them to the beaches of California to see the ocean, and spending time in the outdoors.
In his spare time, Dillon had a broad variety of activities in his life. He enjoyed the outdoors and nature, spending time fishing and shooting at the range. In addition to being an avid reader, he was also a child at heart who enjoyed console gaming with his favorite game "Destiny", and indulging in fantasy worlds of Power Rangers, Dragonball Z, Dungeons and Dragons, as well as, playing and collecting Pokemon and Yugioh cards.
Although his life was taken too soon, there was always a certain style and inventiveness to Dillon as he touched many lives. He was a dynamic, self-expressive person who was forever looking to celebrate the endless possibilities life had to offer. He had a knack for being clever, creative and witty, and for others, was a joy to be around. While he was often fiercely independent, it seemed as if many others looked to Dillon Tyra for inspiration, leadership, wisdom and even courage. Dillon was always more than willing to share life’s experiences with his loved ones, and will truly be missed.
