Donald Lee Blaxton

Donald Lee Blaxton, age 70, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. Donald Lee Blaxton was born on June 15,1953, in Vidalia, Georgia. He graduated from Vidalia High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Georgia.

He married Aurora Blaxton on July 20, 2011. Donnie was a devoted educator for the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, and he taught Chemistry and Physics for A. E. Beach High School for 20 years. He wanted his students to learn, and he had a gift for making even the most complex subjects accessible, patiently guiding his students through the labyrinth of knowledge with tireless dedication. One of his many passions in life was collecting and exploring rocks. He was also passionate about his University of Georgia football team. He can get very emotional whenever the team plays.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Blaxton and father, Thelbert Blaxton. He is survived by his wife Aurora; children, Jasper and Jerome; grandchildren Jace and Jude; mother, Irpeel; brother, Tony and wife Freida; nephews, Beau and Elijah.
