Ellen, Nancy and I went all through St Charles Borromeo school together. She went to Our lady of Mercy High-school in Rochester NY. Ellen joined the Missionary Servants of the Blessed Trinity, an Order of Sisters who were inner city missionaries whose motherhouse was in Philadelphia. I believe Ellen stayed in the order for eight years or so, left the convent, came back to Rochester for a short time, then moved out of Rochester and began her working career, where she met and married Jim.
RIP Ellen, your life of service will be rewarded generously, I think God was tapping me on the shoulder to look up her name and thus found the beautiful notice of her life and death.
