He lived in Chino Hills, California for 45 and a half years before moving to Nevada a year ago.
Eugene was born on July 8, 1939, in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from Washington School for the Deaf and received a high school diploma. He married Paula Chandler on August 27, 1966, celebrating 56 years, and 11 months of marriage before Paula’s passing in 2023.
Eugene had a career in carpentry for 15 years and warehouse work for JC Penney for 25 years. He retired in 2016. He was passionate about trains, fixing things, playing board games, and vacationing/spending time with his family.
Eugene is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Tim) Fox and Jessie (Claudio) Werner, his grandchildren, Vincent Difatta, Gabriela Werner, Hannah Werner, and Samantha Fox, as well as his siblings, Pat Cath, Margaret Cooks, Mike Chandler, Dan Chandler, and Katie Casey.
A private service was held on May 1, 2024, in Henderson, Nevada.
