Frank E. Kondik, age 90, of Boulder City, Nevada passed away on Monday March 11, 2019. Frank was born April 7, 1928 in Akron, Ohio to Irene Thomas and Frank Edward Kondik. Frank graduated from high school and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy from 1946 until 1949. In 1950, Frank enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, and served honorably until 1966, retiring as a Technical Sergeant.
Upon retirement, Frank decided he was not done working, and went to work for TRW in 1967. Frank then met the love of his life Joyce, and the couple were married May 15, 1971 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Torrance, California. Frank and Joyce remained in California, until 1983, when Frank retired again, and they relocated to Boulder City, Nevada. While in Boulder City, Frank started another profession as a tour guide at Hoover Dam. It was not until 1993, that Frank decided to enjoy the pleasures of full retirement.
Frank was a loving husband, son, and brother; whom was an avid health nut, whom at 88 was still working out and keeping fit. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and family traveling on cruises all over the world.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Irene; two brothers: Victor and Robert; and one sister, Irene. Frank is survived by his wife, Joyce I. Kondik; two brothers: Stephen and Thomas; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A funeral mass for Frank will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Andrews Catholic Church, 1399 San Felipe Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005. A Service of Honor will follow on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 12:40 PM at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005; where he will be laid to rest.
