James retired from the Army in 1998 as a Master Sargeant and was an avid coin and stamp collector.
James is survived by his two daughters, Melissa Kreckman and Kimberly Miller-Olson (Casey). He is also survived by five grand daughters, Kylie Miller, Morgan Kreckman, Peyton Miller, Lauren Kreckman and Whitney Olson.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Edith (Hart) and Ernest James Addington and sister, Judith Ederra and her husband, Marty, and son-in-law Jeff Kreckman.
