James R. Brink Sr.

James R. Brink, age 86, Sergeant First Class, U.S. Army, Retired; of Henderson, Nevada went to heaven on Friday, June 18, 2021. He was born October 20, 1934 in Canton, Ohio, but adopted Nevada as home in 1974. James has been a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother and friend. We will miss him and always be in our fondest of memories.

James was a veteran of the Vietnam War, who served our great country from 1953 to 1974 and was fluent in the Vietnamese language. After retiring from the U.S. Army, James worked for Stauffer Chemical Company and Lake Mead Marina. He loved nature, spending a lot of time camping and fishing at Lake Mead.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Gertrude (Wilson) Brink; and his second wife, Carol K. Brink. He is survived by his former wife, Barbara Brink; their four children: Mary Bell-Kerr, Linda Dufour, James (Peggy) Brink Jr., and Kathleen (Freddy) Thomas; 12 grandchildren: Vicki, Garry, Christina, Frederick, Tabitha, Erik, Alessandra, Jasmine, Angelique, James III, Michael, Desiree; 20 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

James will be laid to rest privately with his family and with full military honors at Palm Henderson Cemetery, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, Nevada.
