

James Wesley Wilde, 82, passed away peacefully at home in Farmington, Utah on Sunday, January 19, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Ann (Sorenson) Wilde; his children: Jim, Michael (Shannon), Brent (Beth), Kris (William), Kayte and Scott (Jill); 14 grandchildren: Steven, Jacob, Katelyn, Rachel, Alexander, Summer, Meadow, Marlo, Ian, Olivia, Samantha, Amelia, Corbin, and Shannon; his sisters: Pat, Connie and Vicki; and brothers: Mike and Bob.
Jim was born in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Salmon High School in Salmon, Idaho. He and Barbara were married in 1965 and spent 59 years together. He served in the US Air Force from 1964 to 1967 and then earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at Brigham Young University in 1972. Jim worked most of his career at the Bechtel Corporation in many parts of the US and the world, and retired in 2007 as a project manager responsible for all construction at the McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. Jim and Barbara lived and raised their family in Henderson, Nevada for 36 years.
Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved his family, Idaho, western art, and was very active in genealogy work to preserve the memory of his ancestors and family members.
A visitation for James will be held Monday, February 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will begin promptly at 11:00 AM, both at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 410 N Valle Verde Dr, Henderson, NV 89014. James will be laid to rest with military honors at Palm Henderson Cemetery, 800 South Boulder Hwy, Henderson, NV 89015.
