Soccer was one of his first great passions. As a player, he brought determination and heart to the field. As a youth soccer coach, he became so much more than a teacher, he was a mentor, a voice of encouragement, and a role model for countless young athletes. He taught them teamwork, compassion, resilience, and confidence, shaping lives far beyond the field.
He was a strong man with an even warmer heart. His presence could light up any room, his laughter was unforgettable, and his encouragement lifted everyone around him. He had a natural gift for leadership, not through force, but through kindness, love, and unwavering support.
Above all else, he was a family man through and through. He loved fiercely, showed up fully, and gave endlessly of himself. The impact he made on his family, his players, and his community is immeasurable. His love continues to shine and live on in every life he touched.
He leaves to cherish his loving wife, Tatiana Monge-Escalante, and his son Matias Ramirez.
Services will be held at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary on February 27th at 4:00pm. We ask that those in attendance wear your favorite jersey to celebrate Jose's legacy.
