Joy Marie Burton Eichelberger

Joy Burton Eichelberger, age 91, a longtime resident of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was born April 23, 1931 in Roosevelt, Duchesne, Utah to her parents Guy Fitz Burton and Nancy (Abplanalp) Burton. Joy was raised in Roosevelt and attended school there, graduating from Roosevelt High School.

Joy married Harold William Duncan in Roosevelt, Utah. Through there union, Joy was blessed with her daughter Gloria Nan. The couple later divorced. on July 30, 1953 In Elko Nevada; Joy married Jack Oscar Eichelberger. Through there union, the couple were blessed with their son, Jack Guy Eichelberger.

To support her growing family, Joy taught at Steven Henager Business College in Provo, Utah in 1979. The family later moved to California where Joy taught typing and shorthand at night school at Bell High School. Joy spent many years in California where she raised her two children. Upon retirement she relocated to Nevada.

Joy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will truly be missed.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild, and one great grandchild. She is survived by her two children: Gloria Nan Connolly and her husband Michael, and Jack Guy Eichelberger and his wife, Debora; seven grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

a Graveside service will be held at a later date in Roosevelt, Utah at the Roosevelt City Cemetery.
