Keith Alvin Cole

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Keith Alvin Cole, also known as “Buzz”, who passed away on March 26, 2023 at the age of 73 in Henderson, NV.

Keith was a beloved son, brother, uncle, father and friend to all who knew him. Born on October 12, 1949 in Los Angeles, Ca, Keith lived in many states before graduating from Eielson High School in Fairbanks, Alaska. Shortly after, he began his career with the service team at Volkswagen, rising through the ranks over the years. A true movie enthusiast, he became the proud owner of a video rental store. Decades later he detoured to the open road as a truck driver for Crete Carrier and later drove locally until retiring.

Keith was a feisty spirit who loved to laugh. He had a tender heart, and was known for his character, integrity, and willingness to help others in need. He was a proud father who loved his daughters unconditionally, and put family and friends above all.

A natural athlete, Keith had many hobbies and interests, most notably motorcycles, movies, golf and billiards. He had a soft spot for animals, and was quick to earn the loyalty of all dogs; he loved his own as much as babysitting for family and friends.

“Buzz” will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but we take solace knowing that his spirit will continue to live on in our memories forever. He is preceded in death by his mother LaVonna June (Brown) Earl, father Keith Albert Cole and brother Michael Cole, and is survived by his two daughters Ambur Cole and Ainslie Cole, stepfather Stewart Earl, two sisters Susan (Gary) Eisenhauer, Mary Landry, brother Jim (Kim) Cole, stepbrothers Michael (Joyce) Earl, Robert (Barbara) Earl, John (Janice) Earl, “adopted” son John (Katrina) Pugh, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

His family will hold a celebration of life at First Henderson United Methodist Church, Henderson, NV this summer. Date and time will be forthcoming.
