Remembering the Life of Mark Ellingson

Mark Ellingson, age 74, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Seattle, Washington, to Leif and Selma Ellingson, Mark was the youngest of three boys. From an early age, he had an adventurous spirit—playing football at King’s High School and boating through the waters of the Pacific Northwest—a deep love of family, and a gift for bringing warmth, laughter, and comfort to everyone he met.

Mark devoted his life to his family and his work. He built and ran a successful family business for more than three decades before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of integrity, loyalty, and hard work. Outside of his career, Mark had a lifelong passion for travel, cars, golfing, art, and coin collecting. He loved exploring the world and sharing those experiences with his beloved wife, Abby, and his children: Matt, Andy, and Kelsea, the lights of his life.

Mark had a rare ability to connect with people. He was humorous and kind, always finding a way to make others smile—whether it was a close friend, a colleague, or a stranger. His warmth, faith, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those he loved will forever define him.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Abby; his sons: Andy and Matt; his daughters-in-law: Stacey and Christina; his wonderful grandchildren: Connor (12) and Harper (9); and his brother and sister-in-law, Kent and Pam Ellingson. He was preceded in death by his adored daughter, Kelsea, and his brother, Scott. He is also remembered fondly by extended family and dear friends whom he deeply cherished.

Mark will be remembered for his radiant smile, his love, and the calm steadiness he brought to every room. His spirit will live on through the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely.
