Ned Recca

Ignazio "Ned" Recca, 77, entered into eternal peace Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at the VA Hospital in Las Vegas. Ned was born Oct. 21, 1937, in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a proud Marine and met his beloved wife, Laura, when they were both in the service of their country. He spent his career as an executive in the footwear industry and was a mentor to all that knew him. In his personal and family life, Ned was known for his willingness to do anything, for anyone, anytime they needed him. He could certainly carry a room! A big talker who's words were always positive and encouraging, he was also a great listener. There is no person he ever met whose life was not enriched in some way by knowing him. His presence is irreplaceable. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Laura Recca, in 2006. He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his brother, Ron; his loving children, Mark Recca (Kristi), Laurie Kreter (Dan), Randy Recca, and Nicole Recca; his adoring grandchildren, Joe, Kate, Frank, Dominic, Maggie, and John Recca, Jessica Kreter, Sophia and Michael Recca; and his sister-in-law, Edith Downie. Visitation, 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, service, 9 a.m. Thursday, July 2, both at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
