

RALPH DENTON Ralph Lloyd Denton, 86, born September 8, 1925, in Caliente, died July 6, 2012. An attorney for more than 60 years and a former Clark County commissioner and Boulder City city attorney, he was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel (Baker) and Floyd Denton; his sisters Henrietta and Betty; his brother Lewis; and his son Jeffrey. He is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Sara, of Boulder City; his sons, Mark of Las Vegas and Scott of Henderson; his daughter Sally of Santa Fe, N.M.; and ten grandchildren. An Army veteran of World War II, he graduated from the American University School of Law. His honors included Distinguished Nevadan (with Sara) and the UNR President’s Medal for his service to the University of Nevada School of Medicine, and selection as one of the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s “First 100.” Services will be Friday, July 13, at 10 a.m. at the Guardian Angel Cathedral, 302 Cathedral Way.
