Ric Shaw

Ric Shaw, age 77, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Ric was born December 6, 1944 in Fairfax, Virginia to Beatrice Brown and Richard Cannen Thuma, Sr. Ric married his wife, Rose at a church wedding on July 22nd, 1972. In 1991, he decided to move to Nevada. Ric was a general contractor that owned his own business for over 20 years, but he never really retired.

Ric loved oceanic activities such as diving, fishing, as well as flying and gun safety. As a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he enjoyed flying helicopters, cooking, diving, sharing recipes (but leaving one item out as his own touch), and telling jokes with his family and stories about his adventures in life.

Ric was preceded in death by his father, Richard Cannen Thuma, Sr. and his mother Beatrice Brown. Ric is survived by his wife, Rose Ono Shaw; his daughters: Holly Hart (Bill) and Vanessa Shaw Boye (Charlie); his sons: Cannen Ric Shaw (Adrien) and Travis Kimokeo Shaw (Britta); his grandchildren: Cody Hart, Casey Hart, Collin Hart, Casey Hart, Claudia Hart, Matthew Shaw, Keana Colleado, Maile Boye, Kainoah Boye, Chanse Shaw (Autumn Tai); his great grandchild, Leila Rose Colleado Shaw; and his siblings: Barbara Rodgers and Jean Kelly (Mike).
