Richard Allen Legge

Richard Allen Legge, age 62, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023. He was born in Winchester, Virginia to his parents Theadore Richard Legge and Barbara Ann (Grandstaff) Legge. Richard graduated from Hanley High School in 1979 and went on to spend the next several months developing his trade in a cabinet shop.

In 1982, would marry the love of his life Gayln at a private wedding in Waverly, Virginia. In 1999, Richard and his wife would relocate to Nevada where Richard obtained work for Custom Cabinets of New York in Nevada. He loved woodworking and would spend the next several years building cabinetry until 2010. Due to the decline in the business, Richard went to work in security for Boyd Gaming until 2023 when he would retire due to health reasons.

Richard had many hobbies and interests. He raised Great Danes , collected coins and stamps, and was a GPAA Member. He loved gold prospecting and spend many hours doing so; it was his favorite pastime.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Gayln; and his father, Theadore. He is survived by his mother, Barbara; brother, Randy; 1 niece, 1 nephew, and 1 uncle.
