Mark, 66, passed away on February 6th, 2022, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born to Robert and Virginia Hooper in Thermopolis, Wyoming. They later moved to Worland, Wyoming where Mark completed his education. His family would spend time in the Big Horn mountains, fishing and hunting. He recalled those memories fondly.
He worked for many different places until he started at Vemco in 1987. He loved the work, the many exciting trips, the opportunities, and all the wonderful coworkers. He retired in October, 2017.
Mark had many, many great friends. He loved spending time with each and every one of them, laughing and joking. He said his friends made him laugh every day. Mark lived life to the fullest.
He loved to golf and watch sports. He followed the Wyoming Cowboys and the Denver Broncos. He looked forward to the many golf tournaments he would participate in every year: the Bronco golf
tournament in June, Tiny’s Tavern tournament, Star Service tournament, the yearly spring golf trip with the guys to Arizona or Nevada, and countless others. He always came back with a good story or two.
He also liked to volunteer and help others. He volunteered at the Billings Clinic Foundation Classic and served on their golf committee for over 20 years. The golf tournaments helped contribute to many different departments at the Billings Clinic.
Mark was kind and generous. He was always worried about everyone else. It bothered him that someone might be struggling. We will miss his kind soul and big heart!
Mark is survived by his wife, Tamara: son, Cody: brother, Charles: and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special mention: Vince Cervantes, Angela, and Karen.
There will be remembrance gatherings in Henderson, NV and Billings, MT. The dates have yet to be determined. Please make all memorials out to the Billings Clinic Foundation, 2917 Tenth Ave. N., Billings, MT, 59107-1031.
