

Ruben Carrillo, 72, of Henderson, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025. Ruben was born on July 11, 1952, in El Paso, Texas. He served in the United States Army from 1975-1978 before receiving a BBA from the University of Texas, El Paso, and a Master of Business Administration from National University. For over 38 years, Ruben worked as a Project Analyst at JT3, and retired in 2019.
He married Martha Amada Acosta on July 10, 1982, and was the proud father of James Acosta and Ruben A. Carrillo, II, and doting grandfather of James Gabriel Acosta, Jr.
Ruben was a passionate Dallas Cowboys fan, and he enjoyed reading fantasy novels like “A Game of Thrones,” and playing pinball, billiards, and real-time historical strategy video games. He always looked forward to Halloween and Christmas, as he loved decorating the exterior of the house, and enthusiastically purchased dozens of tamales annually for everyone during the holidays. Ruben also enjoyed the company of their cats, birds, and fish, which were all part of the Carrillo household for decades.
The Viewing will take place at Palm Mortuary & Cemetery Boulder Highway, located at 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015 on Monday, March 3, 2025, 4PM-8PM, and the Rosary will begin at 6:30PM. The Funeral Mass will be held the next day at 10AM on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church, located at 204 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
