Wayne D. Pederson Wayne was born June 29, 1922 in Ririe, Idaho and died August 27, 2014 in Henderson, Nevada. He entered the army in 1942 and was honorably discharged as a PFC in 1947. When he returned he went to work for the National Park Service and helped to build many of the roads around Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. When he retired at the age of 55 he was Supervisor of Roads and Trails. He also worked at Sunset Bait and Tackle. He was well liked by all that knew him and always had a smile. He was preceded in death by his first wife Eleanor, his parents, Frank and Mary Ann Pederson, and brothers, Melvin, Benjamin, Gene, and a sister, Velda Pederson. He is survived by his wife, Helen Pederson, of Henderson, daughters, Shirley J. Pederson, Thelma “Ann” Britton and Velma “Marie” Lane, Nellie Egan (Bill), Shirley Bearden (Wayne), James White all of Henderson. Janice Baetje (Mark) of Belleville, Illinois. He was the proud grandpa of 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
