Albino Gilberto Sanchez

Albino Gilberto was born in Güines, Cuba to Pablo Sanchez and Francisca Gonzalez.

In 1957, he married his wife Martha Mosquera. The following year, the couple welcomed their first daughter, Lourdes, and then in 1963, their second daughter, Lucrecia.

The couple ran their own bodega before immigrating to the United States in 1969 with their two daughters on one of the Freedom Flights. The family of four lived briefly in Queens, New York before settling in Patterson, New Jersey. There, he and his wife opened and ran their own restaurant until moving to Florida.

The couple moved to Hialeah, Florida in 1972 and soon thereafter purchased the family home that Albino and his wife shared until his passing.

His favorite pastime was playing dominos, which he did daily for years after he retired.

Albino Gilberto is survived by his wife, Marta Sanchez; daughters Lourdes De Leon and Lucrecia Long; four grandchildren Jessica De Leon, Elizabeth De Leon Cintron (Ashley), Daniel Steven Long and Jayme Marie Long, two great-grandchildren Rosalie De Leon and Ezra Cintron and brother Juan Miguel Sanchez.

A visitation for Albino Gilberto will be held from 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020 until 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 4th at Caballero Rivero Hialeah, 373 W 9 Street, Hialeah, FL 33010. A committal service will occur Friday, Dec. 4, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn West, 14001 Northwest 178th Street, Miami, FL 33018.

Querido esposo y padre, Albino Gilberto Sanchez, muere de un infarto cardiaco, el 25 de Noviembre del 2020 a la edad de 96 años.

Albino Gilberto, hijo de Francisca Gonzalez y Pablo Sanchez, nació en Güines, Habana, Cuba.

En 1957, se casó con Marta Mosquera. Al año siguiente, la pareja dio la bienvenida a su primera hija, Lourdes. Seguidamente, en el 1963, fueron bendecidos nuevamente con su segunda hija, Lucrecia.

La pareja dirigen su propia bodega en La Lisa, Marianao, hasta el año 1968 que vino la intervención de bienes en Cuba. Después de muchos esfuerzos la familia emigra a los Estados Unidos en el 1969 a través de los Vuelos de La Libertad. Estuvieron un tiempo en Queens, Nueva York hasta establecerse en Paterson, New Jersey. La pareja con muchos esfuerzos lograron abrir y dirigir su propio restaurante, San Lorenzo.

En 1972 deciden mudarse y plantar semillas en Hialeah, Florida donde disfrutaron su hogar juntos hasta que Dios quiso llevarse a Albino.

Su deporte favorito era jugar Dominos. Cosa que hizo diariamente después de su retiro.

Lo sobreviven su esposa, Marta Sanchez; hijas Lourdes De León y Lucrecia Long; nietos Jessica De Leon, Elizabeth De Leon Cintron (Ashley), Daniel Steven Long y Jayme Marie Long; bisnietos Rosalie De León y Ezra Cintron; y hermano Juan Miguel Sanchez.

Se velará desde el Jueves, 3 de Diciembre, 6 de la tarde, hasta las 11:30 de la mañana del dia 4 de Diciembre en Caballero Rivero, 373 W 9 Street, Hialeah, FL 33010. El entierro será el Viernes, 4 de Diciembre al mediodía en Caballero Rivero Woodlawn West, 14001 Northwest 178th Street, Miami, FL 33018.
