Aurora was born on September 11th, 1933 in Havana, Cuba. At the age of 32, with her parents and two small daughters in tow, she made the brave decision to start a new life in the United States. She was a hard-working woman, both in and out of the home. Within a week of settling in Hialeah, she found work at a factory, working her way up to line supervisor, all while raising her young family. She went on to have a third daughter and worked for the same company for over 30 years, eventually retiring to enjoy more time with her family, doing the things she loved, such as sewing, cooking, and listening to music. She took many trips with the love of her life before becoming a widow.
Aurora was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Manuel Gutierrez, her parents, Mario and Aurora Haces, and her sister, Alicia Hernandez.
Aurora is survived by her three daughters, Aurora Joslyn (Ken) of Hollywood, Fl; Alina Dorta (Roman) of Miami, FL, and Alicia Cabrera (Joe), of Miami, FL, her 8 grandchildren, Alexander Annunziato (Karen), Cristina Annunziato (Paula), Roman Dorta, Frank Joslyn (Lisandra), Jacquelin Sigler (Justin), Patricia Dorta, Daniel Cabrera (Victoria), and Nick Cabrera and her 11 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a loving niece, Alina Cepero (Eloy), and nephew, Jesus Hernandez.
Her life was also enriched by the presence of her devoted caretaker, Yuselys Gonzalez, and caring neighbors, the Gallardos and the Magaz families. She was the matriarch of a very large family, and her absence has been devastating to those who were blessed enough to have felt her love.
