Barbara Holmes

Barbara Holmes, age 72, of Miami Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Barbara was the heart and soul of her family—a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, and a compassionate caregiver to all who knew her. Known for her sass, warmth, and unwavering love, Barbara brought joy and comfort to everyone around her.

A woman of many talents and interests, Barbara enjoyed bowling, playing cards, creating handmade cards, and baking cakes from scratch. She was especially known for her beautifully decorated home during the Christmas season, which brought happiness to family, friends, and neighbors alike. Barbara also had a lifelong love for animals, particularly her beloved macaws and African grey parrot.

Above all else, Barbara treasured her family. Some of her happiest moments were spent making memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including sharing laughter and playing video games together.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Thomas Holmes; her children, Jennifer Monacelli, Robert Gine Jr. and Michael Gine (Ambre); her grandchildren, Michael M., Brandon, Cortney, Dustin, Megan, Charles, Nicole, Kassity, Jayden, Liany, Michael G., Christian, Jonathan, and Benjamin; and her great-grandchildren, Julian, Skyler, Anthony, Marlee, Maddox, Meadow, Charlie, Memphis, Mason, and Aiden.

Barbara’s kindness, humor, strength, and unconditional love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.
