It has been a great blessing to know this wonderful lady since my childhood. I remember her great sense of humor and positive attitude.  A great woman, loving and generous. She left a great example and  legacy, but above all, she knew God as her Lord and Savior and gave us example of service and sacrifice for others.

Puedo sentarme toda una vida y seguir escribiendo anécdotas de mi madre. Nunca quiso pedirnos un dólar al contrario siempre estaba ay para decirnos nesesitas algo hijo. Ella prefería quedarse literalmente sin comer para darnos todo y cuando digo todo Hera todo mamá enséñame no a olvidar pero a prender a vivir sin ti. Hoy me desperté a ver tus mensajes de amor como el que me escribes para decirme que me hiciste chiles rellenos 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢💕💕💕eres y serás la mejor madre del mundo hojala yo pueda seguir tus pasos siendo un buen papá pero lo dudo porque dejaste un hueco enorme madre te adoro.

I'm going to miss you, especially all the wisdom and love you shared and taught me. You're always going to be in my heart and  I'm grateful to be your friend.

In 1993, I became a part of this wonderful family due in part to my beautiful daughter Melinda. I remember the day me and Silvia sat down in front of Eva with the news of Melinda’s coming. I can remember her words to me where “You don’t have to stay with my daughter because she’s pregnant, stay with her because you love her and want to be part of this family.” I am so happy I was able to share so many years with Eva and her wonderful children whome I still consider to be and proud to say my Brother-in-Law’s. Me and Silvia struggled a lot in the beginning and she was always supportive and loving. She was a great person, an awesome mother, and an even better grandmother. She leaves behind a good, united, and strong family that will miss her a lot but together will get through this sad but happy occasion. Happy because now she is exactly where she worked so hard to be, next to Jesus Cristo smiling down at us, protecting us from Heaven. I can go on taking about Eva but I’ll cut it short by saying, Eva, I love you, I will miss you, and thank you for everything you did for me.❤️

I’ve never met a stronger woman than my beautiful Abuelita. Seeing her suffering from the worst and most aggressive type of Cancer has been heart breaking. This past week I’ve seen six of her daughters/sons at her bedside saying their goodbyes and this morning at 3:39 is when she was no longer in pain and up in Heaven where I know she was beautifully placed. Abuelita you gave me wisdom that I carry until this day... to be happy and be the best at whatever I decide to do. You were there when everyone was putting me down for being the first one pregnant.... I love you soooo much beautiful.  Rest In Paradise...

 One of my many memories I will always treasure was  the love she had for her Mexican heritage .   She was proud of the vast culture that became more evident when vacationing in Mexico in October 2016 .   She was elated of the people, customs and foods.  She embodied the meaning of  “Familia” to the very end.  I will miss you suegra.

Abuela I know i am only 3 weeks old, but I know my dad will always talk about you and will teach me to love you, thanks for holding me in your arms. My dad will always tell me how you lying in bed he will ask you do you want Kassandra over you and your eyes will shine having me there with you. Abuela please be my angel and take care of us. I can’t wait to be older and be able to write my own words and my own feelings for you. I love u so much and I know you will always be my protector. 

Hola mama,no voy a escribír frases ni pensamientos prediseñados, le escribo lo que sale de mi corazón... se  que aun  con nosotros  esta es la carta mas dificil de mi ida por escribir, porque es para la mujer que nos dio la vida y que mas amo, la que dedico todo su esfuerzo porque todos estuvieran bien.  Muchas veces hablamos  y últimamente usted me decía que no había sido perfecta ni la mejor madre, y quería pedir disculpas a cada uno por los errores  que usted considero que había tenido,y siempre le dije mami la que tiene que perdonarnos a todos es usted,por nuestros errores involuntarios, por nuestras ausencias, por nuestro carácter difciil y nuestras discrepancias al final todo era parte de la vida, lo importante mama es que usted fue la mejor, la amiga,la maestra la doctora, la abogada de cada uno de nosotros,mami usted jamás se ira de nuestros corazones y quiero pedirle algo mas y se que no me lo negara porque siempre contamos con usted.

riéndose	de	nuestras	tonterías	y conociendo a cada uno como lo	hizo,  nos envié	sus bendiciones,nos guie en o que crea necesario,se meta en nuestros sueños y nos regañe si  es necesario para que nadie pierda el camino correcto,todos necesitamos eso cada uno de nosotros,  pero mami en especial quiero pedirle por mi hermano MARTIN que no lo abandone es el mejr hijo que estuvo a su lad y se que en este momento es el qu mas necesita de su mano de su amor de sus consejos no es que el la quisiera mas que los demas pero el en verdad lo demostraba sin pena, sin orgullo con humildad siempre de frente ante todos.El  heredo mucho de usted de su calidad humana y no quiero verlo caer y solo usted tendrá a fuerza de hacerle comprender  que siempre esta en nuestros corazones y en el de el e donde usted habitara porque es el mejor.Mándenos su amor a cada uno de sus hijos yla fuerza necesaria para poder vivir con su ausencia porque en espíritu siempre vivirá dentro de nosotros.

Yo se que nos volveremos a reunir y ese dia que la vea ya no tendra ningun dolor, ni sufrimiento. No sabe cuanto me dolia verla con el dolor tan inmenso que tenia. No se preocupe que todos nos cuidaremos y seguiremos juntos como familia como a usted le gusta. Al igual que se que usted seguira cuidandonos desde donde este y ya es nuestro Angelito. 
Espero siempre hacerla sentirse orgullosa de mi y apoyar a la familia en lo que pueda.Gracias por todo el amor que me dio y por siempre hacerme sentir alguien especial. Usted siempre estara viva en mi corazon y en el corazon de mi esposo, al igual que en los corazones de todos y cada uno de sus hijos, nietos, bisnietos y  todas las personas alas que conocio. 
Nos deja un monton de lecciones, de recuerdos y sobre todo muchisima admiracion y el grandisimo ejemplo de que todos podemos alcanzar todos los goles que nos propongamos y que nunca nos podemos dar por vencidos. Siempre mirando hacia adelante para alcanzar la meta.

Me cuesta trabajo pensar que ya no te veré... tantos recuerdos y tantos momentos compartidos que simplemente no puedo elegir uno Pues todos fueron maravillosos cada uno con su toque especial.

Esas pláticas largas y profundas, esas tardes de películas y consejos... simplemente me quedo con todo, me enseñaste muchísimo!! Tuve la mejor abuelita y agradezco a dios por haberme permitido  tenerte y disfrutar contigo... ya no estás fisicamente con nosotros, pero vivirá tu recuerdo siempre en mi corazón.

Una mujer fuerte, activa, autentica, firme y leal a sus creencias, trabajadora, alegre con una risa contagiosa, sensible, humilde, ocurrente y demasiado coqueta siempre luciendo hermosa. 

Jamás olvidaré  que siempre salía muy arreglada y su frase que era muy suya "Si salgo sin labial es como si saliera desnuda, puedo salir sin zapatos pero no sin labial"

This was our cruise 🚢 on February she was so happy and didn’t missed a thing.  She gambled and watched all the shows, I love you mother you mean the world to me,

I have a lot of wonderful memories of my mom!!  She was the most amazing mother,  she always believed in me.  I’m the way that I’m because she made me this way!! She was a woman of faith who love God so much and believed in his love and mercy.  She believed He was so faithful to us and she fought to the end.  She always wanted God’s will.  Very strong always happy she knew how to give us love and be tough at the same time, her look will say it all, she gave all to her kids and helped all of us in different ways,  She was always ready to give!!! She could be in pain but she wil always show her best side, my mom was the best mother in the WORLD

El más bonito recuerdo que tengo de ella, es la manera en que quiso a sus hijos, por ella aprendí a querer a mis hijos de la misma manera en que ella quiso a los de ella.  Ella radiaba amor, paz y unidad.  Siempre la tendré en mi corazón y entre mis más bonitos recuerdos. 

Esta foto no necesita palabras, no se mucho pero se que el dolor de un cancer es fuertísimo y aun haci con dolor y todo mi madrecita fue a conoser a su nieta kassandra Eva. Mother I will always admire you everything you always did for us, even now that we are older we just pick up the phone and there you was. Always helping us and trying to do more. I have thousands of memories with my mother, every time I wanted to see her smile all I had to say ! Mother my brothers an I are getting together and that right there will make her so happy. The fact that we were united will immediately bring a smile to her face. The day I told her that I was having another baby and that I was going to name her Eva, her eyes got full of water, so I knew she was happy.  The day she hold her in her arms was the sweetest thing I can’t even describe. But I thank God for it. Mother I will always love you . Your son Jose thomas 

My favorite memory of abuelita is the  ear to ear smile and joy that Mariachis brought to her (everytime).  She loved her Mariachi music lol, especially when her son’s joined the Mariachi to sing along, like Jose’s every party performance of, Me bebí Tu Recuerdo.  Those moments that brought so much joy to her will forever be my greatest/favorite memories of Abuelita.  

Mi favorita memoria de Abuelia es la gran sonrisa y felicidad que los Mariachis le ocasionaban.  A mi abuelita le súper encantaba la música de Mariachi, y más cuando sus hijos también cantaban. Como el show que siempre da José, con su canción, Me Bebí Tu Recuerdo.  Eya lo miraba con esa sonrisa de pura felicidad. Al igual que cuando cantaba mi papá en las fiestas familiares, eya me decía con orgullo que me papa tenia la voz como Vicente Fernández lol.  

I have a bunch of funny memories but the one that Mama Eva and I would always bring up when I saw/talked to her was when the McFlurries from McDonald’s came out. She ordered the M&M one. Kim, Prima Eva, and myself were in the backseat of her little greenish hatchback car & she told Eva to put down the window (Eva was like “the window doesn’t go down” lol!) and then Mama Eva proceeded to try to suck the ice cream from the “straw”....it was a spoon!!! Lol!!
