Isabel Docampo Gonzalez

Isabel Docampo Gonzalez, age 81, of Davie, Florida passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020. And while we will miss her terribly, we take comfort in the fact that she is resting in paradise with her Heavenly Father.

Isabel was born in Cardenas, Cuba on June 3, 1939. She had a wonderful childhood in Cuba and enjoyed traveling between her homes in both Cardenas and Varadero. After the communist revolution in Cuba, she was blessed to come to the United States with her husband, Jose. Together they helped bring their beloved family members to the United States and worked hard to build a new, wonderful life for themselves here in America.

She loved her Spanish and Cuban heritage and was equally proud to be a citizen of this great country, America. She was a true patriot. Her passion for her family was unparalleled. She spent her life loving and taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren. Her passing has left a huge hole in our hearts which can never be filled.

She was predeceased by her parents, Manuel and Isabel Docampo, and we are at peace knowing she is now reunited with them. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Jose M. Gonzalez, her son, Jorge Ernesto Gonzalez and his wife Becky, her daughter, Isabel Christina Fernandez and her husband Ozzie. She is also survived by her beloved and adored grandchildren who were the true loves of her life: Julian, Giani, Jazmine, Janely and Ozzie, Cristian and Nicolas. She will also be missed by her two sisters, Marta Beruff and Teresa Portu, her brother-in-law Ramon Portu, and her many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will be having a small memorial service for her at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in her name to charities special to her: The March for Life Organization, Susan G. Komen Foundation and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
