Olivia Marie Ruiz

Olivia Marie Ruiz miraculously burst into this world on December 2, 2000 and from that moment on she never knew a moment that she was not surrounded by love. Her life was defined by inexplicable strength, resilience and the strong undertow of profound love. Olivia faced health challenges from before she was born and yet she defied the doctors’ expectations from the onset. Even when they thought all was lost, Olivia proved them wrong.

Olivia may have been born with a less than perfect heart but she lived her life with the fury and determination that left those around her in awe and wonder. She may have been small in stature but a giant in personality. Olivia’s presence was known long before you could hear or see her because her passion and internal force was so overwhelming. She was a child of the ages who gravitated towards the old and the young with equal kindness and approachability. Like all the greats in history, her light was balanced with shadows of mischief that was quickly forgotten at first glance of the twinkle in her eyes. Olivia’s love of nature and animals was profound because she is the embodiment of the ocean’s waves, the sun’s light, and the wind’s caress.

While the world feels compelled to acknowledge that she left this plane on May 5, 2021, the rest of us know that Olivia is still here because she is etched in our hearts and indelibly imprinted in our souls. Olivia’s mom, who cherished her daughter in ways that the rest of the world is still trying to fathom, prepared Olivia for an eternity enveloped in a love so fierce, so strong and so eternal that its glow will be seen through the heavens.

Olivia is survived by mother Olga Ruiz; Aunt Maria Ruiz.

A visitation for Olivia will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Hialeah, 373 W 9 Street, Hialeah, FL 33010.
