Rene Salazar went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2021, at the age of 72. She was born in Pereira, Colombia to Ignacio Salazar and Esperanza Ardila on April 14, 1948. Rene was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Rene was a hard working woman, who enjoyed sharing the fruits of her labor with those around her. May we always uphold her legacy with honor and love. Fly high like a bird to the heavens. You will always be in our hearts.
René Salazar fue a estar con el Señor el 2 de Marzo de 2021, a la edad de 72 años. Nació en Pereira, Colombia de Ignacio Salazar y Esperanza Ardila el 14 de Abril de 1948. René era una hermana amorosa, madre, abuela, bisabuela, y amiga. René era una mujer trabajadora, que disfrutaba compartiendo los frutos de su trabajo con quienes la rodeaban. Que siempre mantengamos su legado con honor y amor. Vuela alto como un pájaro hacia los cielos. Siempre estarás en nuestros corazones.
Rene is survived by daughter Sandra J Duque; son Jose Harold Duque; daughter Angelica Maria Loaiza; and daughter Yessenia Loaiza; grandchildren Kathy Duque, granddaughter Melissa Blanco, granddaughter Melanie Blanco, grandson Julian Blanco, grandson Matthew Duque, grandson Alejandro Cano Jr., granddaughter Valery Cano, grandson Carter Young and granddaughter Alexandra Martin.

A visitation for Rene will be held Friday, March 12, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 12 midnight at Caballero Rivero Hialeah, 373 W 9 Street, Hialeah, FL 33010. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 4497 West 1 Avenue, Hialeah, FL 33012. Internment services will occur Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn West, 14001 Northwest 178th Street, Miami, FL 33018.
