My dear brother. Im saddened that you are gone, but feel blessed that the lord has taken you to an eternal salvation from which you will no longer be in pain. Say hi to pops for me. 

I remember Richard taking me under his wing as a father figure since I didn't have one at the time of my childhood. We would always go to work to the shop teaching me the trade of being a boat mechanic and about being a man. There's times where I would be half asleep or only learn half the things and he would get mad.
If you don't pay attention you're not going to get anywhere in life he told me.... "El Diablo no Sabe por Diablo no Sabe por Viejo" are the words he would tell me all the time so I can get it stuck in my head. I remember the times we would go to church together especially on the bike so he can introduce me to God and learn about the word and then eat dinner after and spend some time together. I remember playing disc golf and flying his RC planes out at the park. That man and I did so much things together that I've never done before with anyone else. Thank you Richard, your hard work has finally paid off! Now go be with the big guy....

Abuelo you were always so much fun. You made the best chocolate milk and I loved when you would call us hey hey and chichi. We will miss you so so much! Heaven is lucky to have you. Love you abuelo!

A dear brother in Christ Richard Morla passed through into Heaven today. Richard had been terminally ill for about a year, and today, by God’s grace, his pain finally died, the shackles of his mortal condition were broken, and he now lives large in immortality in our Lord’s glorious kingdom for all of eternity. While we mourn with the Morla family,  we give thanks and praise to God for finally taking His beloved son Richard back home where he was destined to return even before he was born. Over these past few weeks as you slipped into hospice, I would tell you each time we met that you were my closest connection on earth to Heaven my brother. Richard was truly our family and was there when we lost our mom and dad.  A true loyal friend and brother to us. He will truly be missed but will be in our hearts forever.  Will never forget the dance in Phoebe’s 15th birthday so tall ... a gentle giant.

You were 17 years old when we first met through my beloved Sal and through that time, we went through so many things. The good and the bad. Rest now,  my dear friend in the arms of your Saviour, Jesus Christ. I know you're already talking to Sal about the good old days and all the stuff  you did at Flipper and laughing.
