Mrs. Braddock was born in her family home in Statesville on April 10, 1944 to Chester (Check) and Estelle Maude Dagenhart Boggs. She then moved to Catawba County in 1967 where she resided with her family until her death.
Mrs. Braddock was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert (Butch) Boggs, sister Carolyn Boggs Rodgers and daughter Betsy Elizabeth.
Mrs. Braddock is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, William (Bill) Braddock; daughters, Ann Braddock Bracewell (Philip), Stephanie Hendrix (Larry) both of Hickory; brother, Dan Boggs (Hazel) of Statesville; and a great aunt Mary Hooks of Lexington. Mrs. Braddock is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Jessica, Will, Jamie, Alexandria, Brooke, Andrea, Summer, Katelyn, and Abigail along with 6 great-grandchildren, Christian, Mackenzie, Addison, Brody, Brielle and Rory (arriving in June).
Mrs. Braddock had an outstanding career in nursing with over 50 years of service. She also served in various community organizations such as the Jaycees, St. Stephens Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary, Catawba County Sheriff’s Department and the Red Cross. Mrs. Braddock’s favorite and most cherished service was her blood donations to the Red Cross with her final tally being 24 gallons over 4 decades.
A Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 20th at 11:00 am at Bethel United Methodist Church, 168 Lookout Dam Rd., Statesville, NC 28625 with Reverend Deacon Michael Jenkins officiating.
