Barry Dale Graham

CONOVER— Barry Dale Graham, 64, of Conover passed away at Catawba Valley Medical Center on January 12, 2017. Born in Rowan County on September 29, 1952, he was the son of Ruth Jones Graham and the late Walter Odell Graham. Barry had an extreme love for the outdoors. He enjoyed whitewater canoeing and hiking, which covered many territories out West, including Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. He was a member of Tri City Baptist Church since 2001 and served on the finance committee. He also participated in the International Learning Center for Baptist Missionaries and Operation Christmas Child programs. Barry was Vice President and Treasurer at CommScope and retired after 32 years in 2012. He is survived by his wife Melody Overcash Graham of the home; a daughter Laura Graham Stone and husband Jason of Raleigh; his mother Ruth Jones Graham of China Grove and a granddaughter Ruth Ann Stone of Raleigh. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm at Hickory Funeral Home. A Memorial service will follow at 3:30 pm with Pastor Byron Repass officiating.
