Betty Clo Townsend Young

HICKORY - Betty Clo Townsend Young, 88, passed away January 31, 2015 at Hospice of Burke Co.Betty was born June 11, 1926 in Burke Co. to the late Lawrence and Dollie Lowman Townsend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvie James Young, five brothers, Early, Monroe, Calvin, Columbus and Clifton Townsend and a sister, Beulah Townsend Eckard.She was of the Baptist faith.Surviving are her daughter; Renvia Crow and husband, Benny of Hildebran; sons, James Allan Young and wife, Phyllis of Connelly Springs and Jerry Young and wife, Janet of Hickory; grandchildren, Cheryl Kiser and husband, Earl, Darren Crow and wife, Faustena, Tracy Drum, Dwayne Young , Lena Ralph, Devin Thornburg, Perry Young, Amber Young and Sherry Young and great grandchildren, Austin Kiser, Travis Kiser, Landon Kiser and Amanda Morgan Drum.Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 2:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Oakley and Rev. Lee Little officiating. Burial will follow in Wilkies Grove Baptist Church cemetery.The family will receive friends Tuesday, Feb. 3, from 7:00 – 8:30 P.
