

CONNELLY SPRINGS— Bobby Glen Parish Sr., 72, of Connelly Springs passed away peacefully at Catawba Regional Hospice on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. Born in Kansas City, Kansas on September 20, 1944, he was the son of Cole Thomas and Opal Irene Rihard Parish. Bobby served in the United States Marine Corps from 1962-1967. He had a career working in Natural gas for many years as manager of customer service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson Christopher Parish. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Mary “Dollie” Swink Parish of the home; a daughter Rebecca “Becky” Parish of Baldwin KS, a son Bobby Glen Parish Jr. of Connelly Springs; grandchildren Thomas Parish of Lawrence KS, Nicole Shoemaker, Hailey Shoemaker and Drake Gray all of Baldwin KS, 6 sister-in-laws and 4 brother-in-laws. Special thanks to his caregiver Edgar Huaracha. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 4:30 pm to 5:45pm at Hickory Funeral Home. The funeral will be Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 6:00pm at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Ingle officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence, KS.
