Brenda Sue (Davis) Burns

Born in Cherokee County on August 25, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Willis Clayburn and Pearl Burgess Davis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her brother Willis Davis.

She is survived by her daughter Kellie Houston of Hickory; her sons Jeffrey Houston and wife Dreama of Taylorsville, and William Houston and wife Tammy of Conover; grandchildren, Scotty Harvell, Kristopher Harvell, Marissa Houston, Mackenzie Ross, Brittany Huffman, Brooklynn Miller, Katlynn Houston, Allison Greene; great grandchildren Paisley Day, Jaxon Huffman, River Huffman, and Lennox Greene and her sister Judy Little of Virginia.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at New Life Authentic Christian Community, 4639 County Home Road, Conover, NC 28613. Funeral will follow at 3:00 pm with Reverend Chris Gruver officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scotty Harvell, Kristopher Harvell, Matt Ross, Christian Huffman, Dakota Miller, and Logan Greene.
