Carroll Flay Davidson

Carroll Flay Davidson, 84 of Conover, NC went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 8th, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on June 30th, 1941, in Cleveland County, NC, Carroll was the son of the late Willard and Mary Melton Davidson. He was an Air Force Vietnam Veteran, retired as a local driver for Carolina Freight Carriers and ABF after 30 years of loyal service. He was a member of Tri City Baptist Church. Carroll was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sharolyn Davidson; his 2 daughters, Davina Kenny and husband, David of Raleigh; Lisa Hatcher and husband, Eddie, of Conover; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Monday, December 15th, 2025, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Hampton Drum officiating. He will be laid to rest at Catawba Memorial Park following the service.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring in Carroll’s name.
