Catherine Irene Bolick Lynch

Catherine Irene Bolick Lynch, 86, passed away January 13, 2014 at her residence after a brief illness. Irene was born August 21, 1927 in Catawba Co. to the late Robert and Essie Heavner Bolick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Summie Lynch, who passed away in 2007 and an infant son, Harvey James Lynch. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and owner of Irene’s Nursery. Surviving are her daughters; Katie Wise and husband, Dean of Vale and Cathy Rast and husband, Phillip of Wilmington, NC; sons, William Clarence Lynch and wife, Ginger of Catawba, John Robert Lynch of Newton and Charles Ray Lynch and wife, Shirley of Newton; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Services will be Thursday, January 16, 2014, at 11:00 A. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 15, 2014, from 6:00 – 8:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Thomas Lynch, Johnathan Wise, Daniel Wise, Andrew Rast, Robert Rast, Tony Isenhour and Mike Prince.
