Catherine Icard Spencer, went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on April 16, 2014. Catherine grew up in Hickory, NC and enjoyed being active in the youth group of First Baptist church, participating in a variety of mission trips and youth outreach activities. Catherine’s life is a testimony to God’s love, mercy and faithfulness to many, especially those who depend on Him as they celebrate recovery in their lives
.
Among those left to remember and celebrate her life are her parents, Rebecca Caldwell Icard and Parks Edwin Icard, their son, Jordan Icard, all of Hickory and a daughter, Brynn Spencer of Calabash, NC, in addition to aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who endeared her as family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in the Drum Funeral Home Chapel in Hickory with Rev. Brad Coley officiating. Receiving of friends will immediately follow the service.
