He was born on December 24, 1944 to the late Lucy and Selmer Taylor in Washington County, VA.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda G. Taylor; and brothers, Charley, Paul, Ray, and Jerry Taylor.
Survivors include his children, Jane Craig and Roger, Melissa Andrews and Benjamin, Regina Taylor, and Heather Taylor; numerous grand and great grandchildren, and sisters, Kathy Mulcahy, Jean Scott, Iney Trent, Jessie Bradshaw; and brother, Selmer “BJ” Taylor.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm at the funeral home. Pastor Dwayne Barber will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
