Connie Jeanine Campbell

Connie Jeanine Campbell, 63 of Hickory, NC went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 12th, 2025, at her daughter’s residence in Greensboro, NC surrounded by her loved ones. She loved sacrificially, created smiles everywhere she went, and was always the bright light in the room. Her loving heart, sweet smile, and caring soul will be greatly missed.

Born on May 19th, 1961, in Carter County, TN, Connie was the daughter of the late William Ray Campbell and Betty Jo Price Gunter.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother’s Lonny Campbell, Ronnie Joe Campbell and sister Julie Young.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Cassie Sloan (Schuyler), son Curtis Campbell (Brandy), 3 granddaughters Emma, Lydia, and Hannah Campbell, sister Evelyn Petrea, brother Johnny Ray Campbell, life-long best friend Kathy Brooks, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on May 16th, 2025, at 2pm. The burial will follow the service at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1pm to 2pm.
