Deborah Lynn Austin

Deborah Lynn Austin, 73 of Hickory, NC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 27th, 2026, at Catawba Valley Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. She was a devoted spouse, loving parent, and proud grandparent whose life was marked by kindness, faith, and a deep love for family.

Born on April 10th, 1952, in Catawba County, NC, Deborah was the daughter of the late Floyd Robert Davis, Sr. and Faye Violet Mingus Davis.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Floyd Robert “Bobby” Davis Jr. and Donald “Donnie” Lee Davis.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 55 years, Danny Austin; her two sons, Benjamin Austin (Emilie) and Timothy Austin (Jennifer); her four wonderful grandchildren, Hailey, Jakob, Gabriel, and Nathaniel; her niece, Tina Taylor.

A Celebration of Life Service will be scheduled at Christ Church Northside of Hickory, North Carolina on Tuesday, April 7th at 4:00 pm.

In lieu flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Church Northside of Hickory, North Carolina in Deborah’s name.

Debbie’s legacy of love, faith, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
