Deborah “Debbie” Colley Reinhardt, 63, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Born in Catawba County to the late James Walter and Catherine Rudisill Colley, she was raised in Jacksonville, Florida before moving back to North Carolina at age 17.
She had a love for the beach and enjoyed walking next to the water every chance she got. She was big on family and loved family vacations and traditions, such as Cookie Day, a tradition started by her mother. She enjoyed serving others and was always known to bring food to every function or need within her family or church. Her husband Kevin, daughters Kitrina and Michele, and her granddaughters Finley, Kenna, and Scarlett were her pride and joy. She also loved her church family at Blackburn Baptist Church where she planned many functions to celebrate together. Many people say that her faith inspired them and her family would agree that her faith is what kept her going for so long.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws J.D. and Geneva Reinhardt, her sister Cynthia “Cindy” Noble, and her nephew Ryan Erikson.
Those left behind to carry on her legacy are her husband of 43 years Kevin Reinhardt, her daughters Kitrina Thompson and spouse Brad, Michele Kincaid and significant other Derek Jones, three grandchildren Finley Thompson, Scarlett Thompson, and Kenna Kincaid. She also leaves behind a younger sister, Nicole “Nikki” Myers and spouse Richard, sister in law Sherry Erikson, as well as a nephew and six nieces.
She will be greatly missed by her family. She leaves them with big shoes to fill to carry on her love for everyone around them.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no receiving, but a Celebration of Life service will be held at Blackburn Baptist Church at 3pm on Saturday, March 23, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, Debbie requested donations to be made the lawnmower fund at Blackburn Baptist Church, 5105 NC-10 Hwy, Hickory, NC 28602 or to Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Rd, Newton, NC 28658.
