In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Lowe; and daughter, Janet Lowe Murphy.
Ella Mae is survived by her sons, Brent Lowe and Kenneth Lowe (Maribeth); grandchildren, David Lowe (Hannah) and Thomas Lowe (Cat); and great-grandchildren, Zedha Lowe, Miles Lowe, Primrose Lowe, Scarlett Lowe and Mavis Lowe.
Ella Mae loved working with ceramics, and needlepoint. She was a loving mother and a Tar Heel fan.
